Und er übernimmt damit auch die Kontaktbilder?

Ich habe aktuell OwnCloud im Test, und hier konnte ich die Kontakte leider nicht mit Bildern importieren.
Das ist etwas mühsam, alle 200 Kontakte mit neuen Fotos zu versehen.

Bei Thunderbird habe ich mal die portable Version installiert um den Import zu vollziehen, konnte aber wie andere auch bisher keinen connect zu Baikal herstellen.

Hallo hab mich jetzt ganz schwindelig gelesen und versucht .Zur Vorgeschichte hab ein DS 112j und vorher owncloud benutzt und leider Gottes auf DSM 5.0 upgedatet.Danach ging wie auch bei vielen anderen owncloud nicht mehr richtig also hatte ich alles möglich zu dem zeitpunkt versucht die sync mit meinen 2 Androits wieder hin zubekommen .Alles ohne erfolg und nu bin ich durchs Forum auf baikal gestossen hab´s auch manuell auf der DS installiert und schon einen user eingerichtet bekomme ich nun
1. meine vorhanden Kalender von acalender über caldav sync irgendwie zurück auf die DS und wenn ja wie

Eigentlich kannst du auch von einem Android Gerät zu Baikal deine Kontakte synchronisieren.

Carddav sync free damit sollte es gehen.

das ist wohl der große Nachteil von Baikal du kannst leider nichts von einem Kalender zum Baikal synchronisieren, habe ich zumindest keine Lösung gelesen.

Der einfachste Weg ist mit Copy Trans deine Kontakte auf denn PC zu sichern und über Thunderbird auf Baikal.

Oder deine Kontakte mittels iTunes auf Google importieren und von dort auf Thunderbird und Baikal.
Aber eine funktionierende Thunderbird brauchst du auf jedenfall.

So habe ich es zumindest gemacht.

Personally, I just use Baikal on my LAN, so no need for https.
Baikal should work with https as well, although I got one feedback that it doesn't under DSM 5 anymore.
I guess this has to do with certificates. In general, if you can access an https website on your Syno, Baikal should be possible too.

If anyone can share his/her experience here: please do.
I will be happy to add instructions to the manual.

Hi Erik,

Thanks so much, for the package as well as the excellent documentation. Since two years I have been trying to synchronize my contacts within my Home LAN environment. I have tried OwnCloud several times but abandoned it because it was terribly slow on my DS209 and complete overkill just for addressbooks. With your help I got Baikal up and running within an hour and it syncs perfectly via Thunderbird/SOGo as well as on my Android.

FYI (and for integration in your documentation - if you like!): I'm using CardDAV-Sync free beta on my Android without any problems:
After installation on your Android:
Settings --> Accounts: Add account
Choose CARDDAV
Choose CARDDAV again
URL: http://[MyNAS]/baikal/card.php/addressbooks/[USERNAME]/default/
Choose one-way or two-way synchronization and Name of the remote addressbook

Same here.
Android (Carddav/Caldav-Sync): Works without any problem with https
eM Client: Only http

But as mentioned above: no need for https on LAN - it's only important for WAN

Muss erstmal meinen phpMyAdmin reparieren, er sagt mir "Falsche Zugriffsrechte auf die Konfigurationsdatei. Schreibzugriff sollte nicht für alle möglich sein!" nach dem Update auf die neueste Version 4.17 !!!

Nö, aber das installieren der neusten Version ist kein Problem.
Nach der Installation der SPK einfach die aktuelle Version herunterladen, entpacken, und im "web" Verzeichnis (da ist ja PHPmyAdmin enthalten) den Inhalt des phpmyadmin Ordner mit dem neuen Inhalt überschreiben. Fertig.
