Hallo Ihr,

ich hab' grad eine neue Version von Active Backup for Business angeboten bekommen.

Die Version-Historie ist wie folgt:

Limitation and Known Issues

ext3 file system is not supported to be the backup destination.

Ich denke, der erste Punkt könnte für einige hier interessant sein.

Danke für den Hinweis, hab auch gerade den Download angeboten bekommen.

Leider fehlt aber weiterhin ein Feature, was Synology mal langsam anbieten müsste, nämlich man die Backups auch verschlüsselt ablegen kann. Verschlüsselt man den ActiveBackup-Ordner manuell, streikt das Programm. Was nützt einem ein verschlüsseltes Systemlaufwerk vom Notebook, wenn dessen ActiveBackup-Daten dann daneben quasi unverschlüsselt auf der Diskstation liegen ... zumindest hab ich nirgends etwas von einer Verschlüsselung der Backupdaten gelesen.

Das musst du über die Verschlüsselung der Freigabe auf der das Backup liegt realisieren.

Genau das geht nicht:

Für Sicherungsaufgaben für PCs, physische Server und virtuelle Maschinen können verschlüsselte freigegebene Ordner nicht als Ziel ausgewählt werden.

Den kannte ich noch nicht, danke für die Info, denn sowas hatte ich in Erwägung gezogen.

Mich stört's nicht so sehr, da meine Daten auf dem NAS liegen und ich die wichtigen Daten verschlüsselt mit Hyper Backup sichere.

Active Backup ist nur für's Desaster Recovery der Rechner...
