Triggering download from outside my home nework - 1 kb files cryptic names

When I download a file with Download Station using the Chrome Add-In or simply copy and paste the link, everything works just fine. If I do the same thing from outside my network this results in Download Station downloading very small files with very strange names. Any ideas what causes that behavior?

Same behavior via Chrome-Addin as well as web-interface directly from outside?

Same behavior. Copy paste Links into the web interface of Download Station deliver the same disappointing result. If I use Teamviewer and copy the exact same link on my remote machine everything works fine.

And to complete the strange behaviour, Downloading on my local machine in the office also works fine. But when I add the download to the cue on my synology machine this happens (list items 4 and 6):

Strange, and I have no solution.
Could be that somehow the character coding is broken via the web-interface / browser extension way to add links

Only thing that i can think of to test would be different browsers (browser engines, since many are based on chromium our days), different client OS (ios, Android, Mac, ein, Linux) and compare the behavior. Or changing the language settings for OS / web-interface.

I think of missing buttons and stuff in the DSM GUI depending on language and browser being used (mostly with Safari), but not only.
