Installation mkvtoolnix auf DS-211+

Hi,

I don't speak German, so please allow me to bring some input in English.

I've spend couple of days trying to compile mkvtoolnix and went into same trouble. Last error "/opt/include/boost/filesystem/v3/operations.hpp:959:56: error: 'BOOST_ASSERT_MSG' was not declared in this scope" I was able to correct this error message by manualy replacing /opt/include/boost/assert.hpp. You need to delete or rename old file and run again ./b2 install from boost directory. I was using recent build 1.49.0. Hope it will help.

Hi,

I have updated boost from 1.47.0 to 1.49.0 and now I get the following error:

src/common/cli_parser.cpp:211:38: error: unable to deduce 'auto&' from '<expression error>'

I get this error when I start ./drake for building MKVToolnix.

Any ideas?

I was using rake instead of drake. Maybe this will help

I have no command "rake" :-(

It's part of ruby pkg. It should be in /opt/bin. Double check if you have installed ruby...

ipkg install ruby

Gibts mittlerweile schon ne einfachere Möglichkeit mkvtoolnix auf die Diskstation zu installieren oder heißt es immer noch selber kompilieren, was ja auch gar nicht so einfach zu sein scheint...
Ich hab ne DS1511+, bräuchte also ein entsprechendes Paket.
Ich habe vor aus meinen mkvs jeweils die Subtitles als separates File(s) zu demuxen, da mein Player mit integrierten Subtitles im idx/sub Format manchmal Probleme hat. Außerdem würde ich gerne die englische Tonspur entfernen. Das scheint leider eh schon nur in 2 Schritten (mkvextract für das extrahieren der Subtitle und mkvmerge für das entfernen der Tonspur) möglich zu sein und ist ohnehin viel manueller Aufwand, da das wohl schlecht zu automatisieren ist. Wenn ich das jetzt auch noch vom PC über Netz machen muß, brauch ich wohl 4 Wochen unbezahlten Sonderurlaub

many thanks for this topic, it helped me a lot compiling mkvtoolnix on my DS213 ( since there is still no toolchain with GCC4.6 available for Marvell 88F628x ...)
It worked for mkvtoolnix 5.0.1 but I got error during my test with V5.9 and 6.3 :

so if you want to compile latest mkvtoolnix here is the solution (provided by the developer himself) :

-edit src/common/timecode.h around line 142

141 basic_timecode_c<T> abs() const {

143 return basic_timecode_c<T>{m_timecode < 0 ? m_timecode * -1 : m_timecode, m_valid}; //NEW

and you wil be able to finish compilation !
