    Well intentioned people here are providing overly complicated solutions. :) With RAID 1 or "2 drive SHR" you can definitely replace a 6TB SMR HDD with an 8TB CMR HDD.     Marius is just guessing. "Next DSM Update Will Be 8.0, 7.3 or 7.2.3" I know from inside sources that DSM 8 will be available before the end of this year. But I'm not going to say it will be the next update. There may be a 7.2.2 Update 5 before DSM 8 is released.
