The script won't help with that, but it can't hurt to try it. How many 20TB disks? I'm wondering, due to the age of the 1817+, if the power supply may not be able to reliably provide enough power for all the disks, or maybe one of the 20TB disks is faulty.- DaveR

Not much air goes in through the side ventilation holes (compared to the slots around the drive bays), but the side holes do collect dust so some air goes in them. I would think 2 cm is okay.- DaveR

As others have said, 44 degrees Celsius in idle mode is normal. My DS925+ sitting idle (it currently has no storage pool) is 42 degrees Celsius (in a 23.5 degree Celsius room). Synology (and AMD) considers anything below 76 degrees Celsius as normal and anything below 68 degrees Celsius as cool...- DaveR

I've tried to find out without any success. I suspect Synology gets them custom made from SK-Hynix or PHISON. -
mdadm: Cannot get exclusive access to /dev/md3:Perhaps a running process, mounted filesystem or active volume group?
You would need sudo to run btrfs the command. I was going to ask what did you use for the <mountpoint> then I remembered I'd already done this 3 years ago and both /dev/md2 and /volume1 worked. sudo btrfs scrub status <mountpoint> works for checking if the scrub is still running. In the past Synology released nk (new kernel?) versions of the broadwell platform (broadwellnk and broadwellnkv2). They still had kernel 4.4.x but maybe they "x" was different. So the question is are AMD producing "nk" versions of v1500B (and R1600?) CPUs is the "nk" a Synology thing. I... -
Auf neue Modelle 2025 warten oder jetzt kaufen?
Supposedly Synology are wanting Seagate, WD and Toshiba to submit drives for Synology to test and verify. I suspect Seagate, WD and Toshiba are not happy about this. If I was you I'd just buy a DS423+ and upgrade it with a 2.5Gbit LAN USB adapter.- DaveR

Seeing as you bought the 10GbE card from www.brack.ch it would be a genuine Synology part. The knockoffs are sold on alibaba and have names like SKN-A113-Mini instead of E10G22-T1-MINI You can check in "Control Panel > Info Center" to make sure that "PCIe Slot 1" shows "Synology E10G22-T1-MINI".- DaveR

DS212+ Migration auf DS223
I used migration assistant to migrate my settings and data from a DS1812+ to a DS1821+ with new HDDs. It worked really well. But there's reason (that I can think of) why you can't shut down the DS212+, remove it's HDDs, install the HDDs into a DS223, then boot the DS223 and let it do a drive...- DaveR
