telnet client missing since last DSM upgrade

I'm using simple telnet protocol to perform some Home Automation switch actions on some basic devices.
This has always worked with Synology DSM in a shell script.
However since I have installed the latest DSM version it seems "telnet" (client app) is no more present.

Unfortunately I cannot switch to another protocol (liek ssh) since that's not supported by the devices (ALL3075 / netio230b).

Does anybody have a solution to re-install telnet or any other alternative?

If you have ipkg available:

ipkg install inetutils

After then you have a telnet Client:

#telnet --version
telnet (GNU inetutils) 1.9
Copyright (C) 2011 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
