Dem Synology Community Forum vom 26. Juli habe ich folgende Ankündigungen zur Synology Photos entnommen.
Dabei sind einige dringend erwartete Nachbesserungen. Es besteht also Hoffnung, dass einige der auch hier im Forum beanstandeten Probleme demnächst abgestellt werden.

Hey there!
I'm Lewis, Product Manager for Synology Photos. It's been an exciting year for our team as we officially released Photos together with DSM 7.0.
We set off to design Photos as a replacement for the venerable Photo Station and the more modernized but personal Moments. We knew that this would be a challenge due to how diverse the intended use cases were for both of those solutions. So right at the beginning, we set our initial goals on creating a solid new foundation for us to continue building on top of.
We've seen that many are pleased with the performance improvements and things like the much more capable filters. At the same time, we also read through your feedback, including all the suggestions for introducing both new and classic features.
We already have some new features locked in for the next (larger) update, which focuses on improving many of the fundamentals and also (re)introduces some of the most requested features.
Upcoming features (~Q4 2021):
We are always open to feedback and learning more about how you are using Photos.
This is just the beginning for Synology Photos, and we have much more planned for the future.

- Ratings! Per file adding/editing
- Map view on the Photos mobile app
- Improved Shared Space permissions
- A way to batch apply user permissions to multiple folders
- Option for subfolders to inherit parent folder settings
- Album sorting options
- By creation, content date, album type, and sharing status
We are always open to feedback and learning more about how you are using Photos.
This is just the beginning for Synology Photos, and we have much more planned for the future.
