Is there a way of automatically applying security updates without complete DSM updates and their dependencies?
v7.1.1 brings a number of security fixes [1] , which will not be automatically installed even if configured to do so.
In case your device is
a) not logged on with the synology account
and
b) has a camera with HVEC configured in Surveilancestation
you have to take manual action and not rely on auto-update!
Background: Starting from Advanced Media Extensions (AME) 2.0, you must sign in to your Synology Account for authorization to download HEVC and AAC Codecs [2]
