hello guys,
i have a DS412+ - DSM 5.0-4528
since a couple of days, i have 2 out of my 4 disks producing errors on the S.M.A.R.T Test.
i have 4 x WD30EFRX-68AX9N0 3Tb set up with SHR with data protection of 1 disk fault-tolerance
Total capacity 8.05Tb
now one disk is showing bad sektors and the other one it just shows failed SMART Test.
what should be my next steps ? i guess i should exchange the disks ASAP....correct ?
shall i take the same model WD red 3 Tb again ? are there better one's ?
for example the WD3001FFSX or WD3000FYYZ ??
as to changing.....theoretically i could just pull out one of the faulty disks and slide in a fresh one
and the system will rebuild....correct ?
looking forward to your ideas on this.
