Noch einmal Fragen zu rsnapshot

Hallo,

ich muss doch noch einmal ein paar Fragen zu rsnapshot loswerden.
Vorab meine Konfiguration:
Auszüge aus der rsnapshot.conf
interval hourly 12
interval daily 7
interval weekly 4
interval monthly 3

crontab

0 0 * * * root /usr/sbin/ntpdate -b time.windows.com
0 */4 * * * root /opt/bin/rsnapshot hourly
0 2 * * * root /opt/bin/rsnapshot daily
0 6 * * 6 root /opt/bin/rsnapshot weekly
0 10 1 * * root /opt/bin/rsnapshot monthly

hourly wird 4-stündlich durcgeführt; so soll es sein

daily wurde am 23.08 um 20 Uhr (warum 20 Uhr?),
am 24.08. überhaupt nicht,
am 25., 26., 27. und 28.08. um 4 Uhr (nicht wie gewünscht um 2 Uhr)
und gestern und heute, also 29.08. und 30.08. gar nicht.
weekly (und monthly) wurden noch gar nicht durchgeführt.

Irgendwie hakt 's da doch noch; aber woran liegt es?

Deine hourly 12 Snapshots passen imho nicht zur cron Konfig. Gemäss rsnapshot Config soll nach 12 hourly snapshots ein daily gemacht werden. Dein cron wird aber nur alle 4 Stunden ausgeführt, sprich 6 daily snapshots. Also macht rsnapshots sicher 2 Tage lang hourly Backups bis die 12 snapshots aus der Konfig erreicht sind. rsnapshot macht erst dann den daily wenn 12 hourlies erreicht sind
