M.2 ist nur der Formfaktor und nicht die Schnittstelle (SATA vs. PCIe). DSM wird nicht auf NVMEs installiert, egal ob mit oder ohne Script - immer nur auf SATA-Datenträgern (also HDD oder normalen SSD).

Bei der Konkurrenz geht mittlerweile leider vieles, was bei Synology nicht geht.

There's nothing in DSM that Synology have removed or restricted that I can't do, so far...

The competition still lack things that I take for granted from DSM. As far as I know DSM is the only NAS OS that has a nice task scheduler UI.

Asustor's ADM can be installed on NVMe drives, but you have to set it up with only NVMe drives to start with then add your SATA HDDs or SSDs later. All apps get installed on volume1. You can't install them on another volume (though you can move them via SSH and create symlinks so ADM still thinks they are on volume 1 but I doubt the symlinks would survive an app update or ADM update).

I don't have a UGREEN NAS yet. They were supposed to be available in Australia by now but still aren't.
