Hallo zusammen,
seit mehreren Monaten versuche ich bei meiner DS 211j dafür zu sorgen, dass sie nach 15 min in den Ruhezustand wechselt und nicht nach ein paar Minuten wieder aufwacht. Dieses Problem hatte ich schon mal Anfang des Jahres, wobei dies durch den Tipp von LANA (Diagnostizieren des Medienserver deaktivieren) behoben werden konnte. Allerdings wacht die DS nach dem Firmwareupdate 3.1 wiederum regelmäßig wieder auf. Dieses Problem habe ich bis heute und nach wie vor keine Lösung gefunden. Ein Posting in einem anderen Teil des Forums ist leider im Sande verlaufen. Daher nochmal der Versuch auf diesem Weg eine Lösung zu finden.

Konfiguration:
Modell: DS 211j
DSM: 3.2 -1922
HD: 2 x Samsung HD204UI 2TB
Medienserver, FTP, Windows Dateidienst und Photo Station aktiviert, alles andere deaktiviert oder nicht installiert.

In zwei folgenden Postings habe ich zwei Auszüge aus dem System-Logfile von zwei auf einander folgenden Tagen gepostet:
1. Tag (Hibernation Debug Tool aktiviert)
Seltsamerweise geht die DS bei aktiviertem Tool gar nicht mehr in den Ruhezustand.:(​


2. Tag (Hibernation Debug Tool deaktiviert)
DS geht in den Ruhezustand, wacht aber alle halbe Stunde auf (gleicher Zustand wie an den Tagen zuvor)​


Ich wäre euch sehr dankbar, wenn ihr einen Lösungsansatz für mein Problem finden könntet.

Von einem "Support-Forum" hätte ich eigentlich mehr erwartet. :(

Würde es dir was nützen, wenn ich posten würde, dass ich persönlich da nichts erkennen kann?
Es ist doch auch bekannt, dass es ein Problem mit Hibernation bei der 3.2-1922 gibt. Ich denke nicht, dass sich darüber erneut jemand den Kopf zerbrechen möchte. Ich denke, da wurde schon fast alles ausprobiert.

Aber evtl. findet ja doch noch jemand was Auffälliges.

Erst einmal Danke für die Reaktion!
Auch wenn man es nicht glaubt, auch "Fehlanzeige" bringt mich weiter. Es zeigt mir, dass sich zumindest ein Forums-Teilnehmer meinem Problem angenommen hat.
Dass bei 3.2-1922 ein Hibernation-Problem existiert, habe ich auch mitbekommen. Da sich mein Problem aber auch schon in 3.1-1748 gezeigt hat, ging ich bisher davon aus, dass es sich um unterschiedliche Ursachen handelt. Daher auch die Umfangreichen Postings mit den Syslog-Auszügen.
Dann bleibt mir momentan nichts anderes übrig, als auf eine Problemlösung durch 3.2-xxxx zu warten

Hallo Baeckdrafter,

wenn ich mir deine Logs so anschaue, denke ich, dass in deinem Netz einfach ein oder mehrere Samba-Clients laufen, die zyklisch auf die DS zugreifen und die Platten aufwecken bzw wach halten.

Spiel mal die typischen Szenarien durch:
1.) DS vom Netz trennen und schauen, ob die Platten dann schlafen gehen, damit feststeht, dass das Problem nicht von "innen" kommt (Mediaserver & Co).
2.) die beim Aufwachen aktiven PCs im Netz bestimmen und schauen, ob dort Einstellungen wie "automatisch nach Netzwerkordner und Druckern suchen" (Ordneroptionen, Ansicht bei WinXP z.B.) aktiviert sind.
3.) hier mal näher beschreiben, was sich in deinem Netzwerk noch so tummelt und was dort läuft.
4.) hier keinen "anpflaumen", weil nicht gleich eine Antwort kommt, und auch mal selbst die Suchfunktion benutzen.

zu 1.: Festplatten kommen gar nicht mehr zur Ruhe, ich werde aber morgen nochmal einen Syslog-Auszug mit getrenntem Netz vorbereiten
zu 2.: beim Aufwachen (2.Tag) war definitiv kein weiterer Rechner im Netzwerk aktiv. In Betrieb war lediglich der Router.
zu 3.: im Netz hängt ein Notebook und eine PS3, beide nur unregelmäßig und nicht dauerhaft in Betrieb
zu 4.: von "Anpflaumen" kann keine Rede sein. Ich habe weder jemanden persönlich angegriffen, noch jemanden beleidigt. Ich habe lediglich eine Tatsache beschrieben und festgestellt, dass meine Erwartungen an dieses Forum wohl zu hoch waren. Nachdem ich schon vor einem Monat ein ähnliches Posting gesetzt habe und auch damals die Resonanz (bis auf itari) ziemlich dürftig war, ist es wohl durchaus nachvollziehbar, dass man nun, nachdem wieder mehrere Tage ohne jegliche Antwort verstrichen sind, an dem Sinn eines Postings in diesem Forum zu zweifeln beginnt. Davon abgesehen habe ich die Suchfunktion sehr wohl benutzt und auch verschiedene Lösungsansätze getestet; bisher jedoch ohne Erfolg.

Hallo zusammen,
wie angekündigt habe ich meine DS nochmal längere Zeit vom Netz genommen und das Hibernation-Tool parallel aktiviert. Wie ich erwartet habe, ist die DS nicht in den Ruhezustand gekommen. Stattdessen versucht sie ständig den Netzzugriff wieder herzustellen. Da das Logfile ewig lang ist, hab ich nur den Anfang und das Ende gepostet. Meiner Meinung nach kann das Problem mit dem Ruhezustand nur ein internes Problem der DS sein. Aber vielleicht erkennt ja jemand von euch noch eine andere Ursache.

Ich nutze u.a. die Photostation um Familienbilder übers Internet verfügbar zu machen. Soweit ich weiss ist pppoe die einzige Möglichkeit die DS direkt aus dem I-Net anzusprechen.

Ich seh schon, da war ich etwas voreilig. Als ich die DS damals eingerichtet habe, war pppoe für mich der einfachste Weg. Da mein Router nicht in der "Konfigurationsliste" auftauchte, hab ich einfach den vermeintlich leichtesten Weg gewählt. Mal sehen was dabei heraus kommt, wenn ich die DS über Portforwarding ansteuer... ich lass mich mal überraschen..;)

So, nachdem ich etwas länger an meinem Router tüfteln musste bis das Portforwarding funktionierte, habe ich noch ein paar Tage den Betrieb der DS beobachtet. Und siehe da, die DS macht was sie soll.
Daher nochmal vielen Dank an goetz für den Tipp!!:D

@Backdrafter und ApOphis,
nachdem es mittlerweile auch neue DS images gibt, bin ich mir nicht mehr sicher, ob es ein generelles hibernate Problem gibt. Aber ich kämpfe mit der selben Problematik wie Backdrafter...muss aber ehrlich gestehen, ich verstehe den pppoe Punkt nicht :(
Kurzer Hinweis zu meiner Sachlage: auch wenn die DS (212+) nicht am LAN hängt, wacht sie nachts oft aus dem Hibernation mode auf...

Am Ende des Logs sieht man wie ich den Rechner wieder hochfahre und mich einlogge...dazwischen sind aber aufwach-Phasen, die ich mir nicht erklären kann.

Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn jemand, dem dieser Code etwas sagt, einen Tipp abgeben könnte - Danke im vorraus
