Yes, as long as the hard drives are NAS, Pro or Enterprise hard drives.

Thanks @Ronny1978 Looking at https://www.synology.com/de-de/security/advisory/Synology_SA_18_01 I see that "Enable Spectre and Meltdown Protection" implements up to 4 things, depending on the Synology model (CPU arch). array_index_mask_nospec minimal ASM retpoline Kernel Page Table Isolation...

Which Synology NAS and DSM version do you have? My DS1821+ with DSM 7.3.1 and DS925+ with DSM 7.3.2 do not have a "Kernel Page-Table Isolation" option.

Systemlaufwerk 100% belegt, Migration schlägt fehl, Upgrade 918+ zu 1525+:

@Adama Line 29 should be "sort" not "black", and also on line 50. Whenever I paste bash code here either the forum software or Google translate changes a few things like "du" to "you" and "fi" to "be" but I didn't notice that sort was changed.

Download Station version 4.1.0-5005 also has a bug where completed downloads no longer show the completed date and time. https://www.reddit.com/r/synology/comments/1pe2y3e/download_station_newly_completed_torrents_no/

    DSM 7.3 Neue Version 7.3.2 – 86009

The only method I know to uninstall default packages that do not have an uninstall option is: sudo synopkg uninstall ActiveInsight sudo synopkg uninstall HybridShare sudo synopkg uninstall SynoFinder I also feel that SynoAnalytics is a candidate for uninstalling, as I suspect Synology uses it...

    SMART-Werte auslesen und interpretieren

    I just noticed smartctl 6.5 -v uses the attribute name you specify. root@DS925plus:~# smartctl -iA -d sat -v 1,raw48:54,one -v 7,raw48:54,seven -v 195,raw48:54,one_nine_five /dev/sata2 smartctl 6.5 (build date Sep 26 2022) [x86_64-linux-5.10.55+] (local build) Copyright (C) 2002-16, Bruce...

    SMART-Werte auslesen und interpretieren

I wasn't sure. But I just ran some tests: The -v option existed in smartctl 6.5 According to the help the usage of the -v option has not changed. From my tests I can see how the -v option behaves has changed. In smartctl 7 you do not need to specify the attribute name. In smartctl 6.5 you...

    SMART-Werte auslesen und interpretieren

The -v option was changed to smartctl in 7. DSM only has smartctl 6.5 So if you want Seagate or Synology HAT3300 raw SMART values converted you need to install the SynoCli Disk Tools package from synocommunity. Add synocommunity as a package source: https://synocommunity.com/#easy-install Or...

    DSM 7.3 Neue Version 7.3.2 – 86009

Run the latest Synology HDD db v3.6.112 This version fixes a bug where in DSM 7.3, 7.3.1 or 7.3.2 the rs2423+_e10m20-t1_v7.db or rs2423+_m2d20_v7.db drive database files weren't edited (even though the script says they were).

    DSM 7.3 Neue Version 7.3.2 – 86009

It works... I think. I created a script to stop all packages that are installed on an NVMe volume. Scheduled it to run as root at shutdown and then updated my DS925+ to DSM 7.3.2. The NVMe packages did not automatically repair or update. But my NVMe volume was mounted after the reboot from the...

    DSM 7.3 Neue Version 7.3.2 – 86009

@ctrlaltdelete You have DSM updates set to notify. Did you get a notified and then click update or did DSM update itself? Did you also have packages set to notify (auto-update disabled)? Before I updated from DSM 7.2.2 to 7.3 I setup a shut-down schedule to run syno_hdd_db (as well as my...

Ext-USB-HDDs haben Namen verloren und somit Störungen beim Hyperbackup

This also happens with my IB-3640SU3 Ice Box JBOD enclosure and IB-141CL-U3 Icy Box 4 bay Docking Station. The order that drives get mounted in DSM is the order that they get their usbshare# assigned. With my IB-141CL-U3 Icy Box 4 bay Docking Station it had a power button for each drive bay so I...

Ext-USB-HDDs haben Namen verloren und somit Störungen beim Hyperbackup

You probably renamed them in the past. I also like to create a <name>.txt file on each USB drive... just in case they lose their name so I can remember what I previously named them.
