    I have an Asustor AS5404T and it makes a better Plex server than a DS423+. But since it lacks some of what we take for granted in DSM, like ADM has no task scheduler gui, I probably would not recommend it for family or friends.

    I have an AS5404T and it's a great Plex server. I also run radarr and a few other containers on it. Asustor's OS (ADM) gets installed on the first storage pool you create. So if you create a storage pool and volume on a pair of NVMe drives in RAID 1 the ADM OS and all packages you install...

    Most people I know of who are using Xpenology are using SA6400 or DS1823xs+ which were released in late 2022 and 2023 running DSM 7.2.2.
