    Mailstation E-Mail-Adresse angeben

So you can use the standard MailStation package for pulling your e-mail from your mail provider. You do not need an DynDNS account for that. First check if you can see your e-mails in Roundcube. Next configure Outlook (or similar e-mail client) to read the e-mails via IMAP from your DS. To send...

    Mailstation - Outlook 2007/2010 Problem

In Outlook you should configure the DS as IMAP server, not POP3.

    Time Backup detailliertes Sicherungsprotokoll

Have a look in /var/log/messages, maybe something intersting is logged there. BR, Erik.

+-Serie 212+ geht nicht mehr in Ruhemodus?!

After some time of inactivity the samba daemon will give up, but will allow fast reconnect. This is standard behaviour. While not connected, the DS can hibernate. BR, Erik.

Can you please share with us: - What is too long, how many characters ? - Did your username include special chars, like space, dash, slash, quote, ... ? Thanks in advance, Erik

Since the latest MailStation version, I don't know how fetchmail is started anymore. The only thing that seems to be related with starting up mailstation is: /usr/syno/etc/rc.d/S89mailserv.sh But no calls no fetchmail (or synofetch) there. Maybe someone else can explain  /Erik

Fetchmail runs automatically on my DS as well. Do you use the latest DSM firmware -and- mailstation version ?

DSM 4 should automatically start fetchmail, using a startup script. Mayby easiest way is to deinstall/install MailStation ? BR, ERik

Looks like fetchmail is not started up automatically on your DS. Check this via telnet, first thing in the morning, and after you have run Roundcube. I guess that only after Roundcube you will see something like this:

    Einrichten von time back up

AFAIK, Replicator is PC software, meant to backup PC data automatically to DS. TimeBackup is DS software, meant to backup DS data to another (!) volume on the DS (same or another DS). You cannot access TimeBackup data directly from your PC using e.g. Windows Explorer, you use the web interface...

Dringend Hilfe benötigt! Outlook2010 und Mailstaion wollen nich miteinader :-(

In Outlook, you should set the correct server name (of your DS), user name (same as you use for Roundcube), password, and imap port (143 for normal, 993 for SSL). In DSM (control panel, mail station, mail receiving settings), you shoud enable imap (normal or ssl). Good luck, Erik.

    Mailstation POP3 Mailabruf

IMHO, it has no use that the DS is fetching e-mails from the external mail server, while no PC client is connected. So I wrote a script that stops the fetchmail daemon in this case. Others think it is more important having the e-mails downloaded ASAP and don't care that this keeps the DS...

Thanks for the tip ! BR, Erik.

Confirmed. This is especially annoying if you use a start-stop script for a daemon. It wil get killed as soon as you logout :-/
