DSM 6.x und darunter Ständige Schreibzugriffe nach update auf DSM 5.0

Hallo,

nachdem auf meiner DS 212j nach dem update auf DSM 5.0 (fast) alles wieder zufriedenstellend läuft, gibt es noch eine Sache, die mich stört:

Auf beide Platten (im Raid 1) wird ständig zugegriffen, man hört das auch. Ich habe zunächst die üblichen Verdächtigen wie die Audiostation und Cloudstation gestoppt und das Netzwerkkabel entfernt. Die HDD-Aktivität bleibt. Das ist aber nicht die Indexerstellung oder Imagekonvertierung, das kenne ich schon, die greift auch intensiver zu. Hier wird in Abständen von 15 - 30 Sekunden (das sehe ich an den LEDs) laut DSM-Ressourcenmonitor auf die Platte geschrieben, 24/7 und das auch bei gekapptem Netzwerk.



Ich nutze zwar den Sleep-Modus für die Platten nicht, weil ohnehin Zarafa läuft, aber gesund kann das trotzdem nicht sein. CPU-Last ist zwischen 10% und 30% bei offener DSM, aber das ist wohl normal für die DS212j. Folgende Pakete sind installiert:

MariaDB, Medienserver, Perl, Photostation, VPN-Server, Zarafa, Z-Push.

Die anderen habe ich schon mal abgeschaltet bzw. gestoppt.

Der DSM-Ressourcenmonitor hingegen sagt:



Loglevel (syslog.deny) habe ich nicht verändert. Was kann das sein, das da dauernd auf die Platten schreibt? Wird da eventuell die Datenbank konvertiert (MariaDB, MySQL)?

Nach dem Update auf DSM 5.0 kann alles mögliche passieren. Die Konvertierung der DB zum Beispiel.

Lass sie doch einfach mal einen Tag arbeiten und gucke, ob es sich danach beruhigt. Warum sollte es nicht gesund sein, wenn die Festplatten arbeiten? Dazu kauft hat man sie doch!?

Das update war am Samstag Abend, seitdem rödelt das. Aber eben nur so ein wenig. Wenn beispielsweise der Index erstellt wird, legen die Platten richtig los, das machen sie ja hier nicht. Kann schon sein, dass die DB konvertiert wird. Ist da auch eine Woche drin auf der schmalbrüstigen 212j?

Müßten dann nicht unter Zarafa Daten fehlen, wenn die DB noch nicht komplett konvertiert ist?

So, ich habe den Übeltäter jetzt gefunden. Das war die Indexerstellung von zarafa-search, diese schreibt seit Samstag Abend pausenlos in zwei Dateien im Ordner /var/lib/zarafa/index, ohne diese jedoch zu ändern. Zarafa nutze ich nur für Termine/Kontakte/Notizen und nicht für Mails. Ich hatte das mal testweise konfiguriert, lasse aber keine Mails mehr abholen. Da sind eine Handvoll Test-E-Mails drin, also gibt es nichts weiter zu indizieren. Auch ein Löschen des Index und Neuindizierung (dauerte keine 2 Minuten) brachten keine Lösung.

Ich habe nun kurzerhand im Startscript /var/packages/Zarafa/scripts/start-stop-status den Start von zarafa-search auskommentiert. Seitdem ist Ruhe an der Diskstation. Ich bemerke nun auch keine Einschränkungen, sogar die Suche in E-Mails funktioniert noch, wohl, weil da nur ein paar Mails sind.

Auch wenn Platten dafür da sind, beschrieben zu werden, muss man sie ja nicht unnötig stressen.
