Hallo,
ich habe Synology eine Anfrage geschickt aber noch keine Antwort erhalten. Vielleicht könnt ihr mir weiterhelfen.
Folgendes habe ich an Synology geschickt:
Dear Synology Team,
I have a problem with my 4 bay DS411j NAS.
2 days ago I saw the there's a new firmware patch to download and to install. I downloaded this firmware by the GUI in the admin session (i did this about 3 times before and never had a problem with such an firmware upgrade). The download was successful and the installation began to run. After the installation there was a waiting period of 500 seconds where it seems that the Synology was rebooting.
I let this reboot work for about 30 minutes and then I recognized, that it's not possible to ping the NAS. The web frontend didn't work as well and no connection to the NAS was possible. Therefore I pressed the button on the NAS to shut it down. After the shutdown I restarted the NAS again, but the behaviour was the same.
During the reboot it was possible to ping the NAS for about 10 seconds but afterwards the ping was not possible again. I tried to contact the NAS server by the Synology locally installed tool but it was not possible to connect as well.
On my DHCP server (modem) I could see that the NAS server has received an IP address (ARP command works, PING don't work).
What can I do to recover my NAS to work again perfectly?
Is then the data gone? (currently I have 3 disks working with RAID 5, and one alone for backup)
Can I reinstall the Synology sofware with the RESET button? Does the data on the disks then get erased?
Could you please explain the next steps to get this NAS working again.
Thanks
Bitte um eure Hilfe!
Herlichen Dank!
mans
